Curating Communities of Color in Higher Ed: HBCU’s, HSI’s and PWI’s

March 13, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm CDT

With rising costs and admission requirements altering access and recruitment practices in higher education, there should be a continuous conversation about best practices and realistic outcomes. This panel will move beyond the buzzwords of traditional DEI and explore the access, recruitment and retention of communities of color in higher education. Join Ashley Bennett of Kipp Sunnyside high school, Niya Blair Hackworth of NCAA, Ashriel Dunham of The University of Oklahoma, and Tony Sarda of Lamar University in the discussion on how HBCU’s, HSI’s and PWI’s alike can cultivate spaces in which communities of color can thrive.
