Join the HBCU Battle of the Brains team for the official SXSW HBCU Meetup! Kick SXSW off the right way with us on Friday, March 13th from 12:30p to 1:30p in the Fairmont Austin Hotel’s Wisteria Room.
Since this is an official SXSW event, badges are required.
Since the first HBCU was established in 1837, these institutions of higher learning have held a special place in black culture. With notable alumni from Spike Lee to Oprah Winfrey, television shows like A Different World, and an overall tremendous educational value, HBCUs have single-handedly created the black college experience.
Join us for a meetup to bring HBCU students and alums at SXSW together.
Not an HBCU alum? No worries! We would love to have you join us in order to see why we love and appreciate our HBCUs and hear why we believe the new decade will be an important part of HBCU history.
